How to restore a one-time WidgetCraft Pro purchase

Check the purchasing Google account and understand why restoring Pro does not restore designs.

Quick answer

An eligible one-time Google Play purchase is tied to the Google account used for the transaction. Before trying to pay again, check that account and whether the app has a restore or entitlement-refresh flow.

Confirm which account bought Pro

One-time Google Play purchases are associated with the eligible account used to buy them. Before trying to purchase again, open Google Play on the device and check which account is active. A different account can make the app behave as though the entitlement is missing.

Launch WidgetCraft while signed in to the purchasing Play account and use the app's restore or purchase-state flow when available. Allow the Play billing service to complete its checks. An offline phone or temporary Play service issue may delay a fresh entitlement check.

Try it on your home screen

  1. Open Google Play and verify the active Google account matches the purchasing account.
  2. Look for the purchase in Google Play order history or its confirmation email.
  3. Open WidgetCraft with a network connection and check any available restore-purchase control.
  4. If it remains missing, gather the order information for support without publicly sharing account or payment details.

Don't buy twice just to fix a display

If the purchase is already recorded, avoid repeating checkout without first checking Play order history and the active account. If restoration still fails, gather the order date and a redacted order reference for the verified developer support channel; never publish a full payment receipt, card details or login credentials.

Be clear about what gets restored

Restoring a Pro entitlement can unlock Pro features again. It does not guarantee that previous Gallery items, drafts or per-template local unlocks reappear after you clear storage or change devices. Those are local app documents, not purchases stored inside Google Play.

WidgetCraft public release has not been independently verified during this site build. Purchase-screen wording and restore controls may differ in later versions. For a tier-by-tier explanation read Free vs Pro and for local data read backup basics.

Check the result

Clearing app storage or uninstalling can erase local designs and is not a sensible first step for a missing entitlement. App purchase state and local Gallery documents are separate concerns: a restored Pro purchase does not necessarily restore locally saved widgets. Do not buy twice to test whether restoring works.

Common question: Will restoring Pro bring back my old widget designs?

Not by itself. Pro entitlement concerns the purchase. Locally stored designs require their own verified backup or export process.
