Editorial disclosure

WidgetCraft is made by the team behind this website. We list it first as our own widget builder, explain its limits, and link to competing apps when they are a better fit. This comparison uses publicly described features, not independent hands-on testing.

What to look for

A world clock widget is most useful when it shows two or three cities without asking you to perform mental time-zone arithmetic. People working across countries often need to know whether a colleague is asleep, not just what the current UTC offset is. Daylight-saving changes make manually typed offsets unreliable, so a named-city time-zone source is preferable.

1. WidgetCraft — create a two-city clock layout

WidgetCraft: Widget Maker is our own Android widget editor. WidgetCraft has editable clock and time-zone components in its project, allowing a customized arrangement of city labels and supported clock information. Verify the time-zone selection and live behavior in the installable version. A label reading 'New York' beside a static time does not guarantee automatic daylight-saving handling. Check its public Google Play listing for availability and exact capabilities.

2. World Clock & Widget — cities and meeting comparisons

World Clock & Widget is an alternative for this particular need. World Clock & Widget advertises multiple cities, time-zone search, military time and an integrated difference calculator. It is a stronger option when actual meeting planning matters more than fine-grained visual design.

3. World Clock Widget — adjustable world-time panels

World Clock Widget is an alternative for this particular need. World Clock Widget by Tomas Hubalek includes digital and analog city times, date, color options and a time converter. It is suitable if you want a classic multiple-time-zone widget with configurable appearance.

4. Clock by Google — a familiar clock ecosystem

Clock by Google is an alternative for this particular need. Clock by Google provides a standard clock and world-clock experience on many Android devices. Widget options vary by phone and app version, so check the picker rather than assuming the identical city panel is available on every launcher.

An arrangement that works on the home screen

Put the local city first and the distant city beneath it with identical font weight. Use 12-hour time with AM/PM labels or a clear 24-hour style to prevent scheduling mistakes. If a business call depends on the difference, show the date too; one city may already be on the next day.

Test functionality before relying on it

Compare the two cities against a trusted time-zone converter before scheduling a meeting. Watch for a change when one region switches daylight saving and the other does not. Do not store an offset such as UTC−5 permanently when the app can use a city-based time zone instead.

Our practical recommendation

WidgetCraft is for a personally designed multi-zone panel, World Clock & Widget and World Clock Widget handle time-zone utility details, and Google's Clock app is an easy first check.
