Editorial disclosure

WidgetCraft is made by the team behind this website. We list it first as our own widget builder, explain its limits, and link to competing apps when they are a better fit. This comparison uses publicly described features, not independent hands-on testing.

What this search should help you choose

Samsung One UI-style widgets commonly use rounded panels, comfortable spacing and a gentle information hierarchy. On a Galaxy phone, some widgets already ship with Samsung's own apps. On another Android brand, you can use a themed pack to get a similar appearance, but Samsung-specific functionality may stay unavailable.

1. WidgetCraft — make a Samsung-inspired personal card

WidgetCraft: Widget Maker is the builder made by this journal's publisher. WidgetCraft lets you position a simple date, clock or supported progress layer inside a soft-edged design. Its advantage is deciding how wide a card should feel and which information to show. It does not claim to be Samsung One UI, and any system-level shortcut or Galaxy integration requires separate confirmation. Check its current Google Play listing rather than assuming every build is already public.

2. OneUI Widgets — ready-made One UI-inspired collection

OneUI Widgets is an alternative worth considering. OneUI Widgets by JustNewDesigns is a standalone themed widget library. Its Play listing describes numerous clocks, notes and other utility designs without requiring KWGT. Choose it if you prefer matching presets over manual composition.

3. Muviz Widgets — clean clocks that mix with Samsung icons

Muviz Widgets is an alternative worth considering. Muviz Widgets has Material and Pixel-inspired clock styles, some of which suit a Samsung layout without copying its exact design. The controls are simpler than recreating every element manually in a canvas editor.

4. KWGT Kustom Widget Maker — fully custom rounded widgets

KWGT Kustom Widget Maker is an alternative worth considering. KWGT can be used to build your own spacious clock/calendar surfaces or load compatible presets. Advanced users can match a specific One UI generation; beginners should expect more learning and possibly a Pro key for imported templates.

Make the home screen look right

Choose a 4×2 clock and a smaller calendar tile with the same corner radius. Give each a consistent margin from the screen edge. If your Galaxy launcher offers widget stacks, use them only for content that is not urgent; a hidden reminder is less effective than one always visible.

Test the finished widget rather than the preview

Review Samsung's own widget picker before installing another app. Many Galaxy phones already have practical clock, weather, calendar and device-care widgets. On a third-party launcher, One UI placement and stack behavior may not transfer directly.

A useful Galaxy-versus-theme distinction

On a Samsung phone, open the built-in widget picker before buying an extra pack. One UI may already include the clock, calendar, device-care and weather panels you need. A third-party widget can match Samsung's rounded visual style, but it does not automatically become a Samsung system widget or inherit Galaxy-only stack controls. If you change the default launcher later, check placement and resizing again; a matching appearance does not guarantee identical behavior.

Which app fits?

WidgetCraft is for composing your own Samsung-inspired visual, OneUI Widgets for a premade coordinated collection, and Muviz or KWGT for clock customization.
